Did You Know?

Did you know that the motor companies are trying to make their products exciting again, the same way that they did in the 1960?s, they are releasing updated versions of their famous muscle cars form that time era, and it?s working for me, I love the muscle cars.

I?m a freak of sorts, when it comes to muscle cars, I think that there one of the greatest things that ever happened in the automotive industry and from the crazy prices that they are selling for, and I must not be the only muscle car crazy freak on the planet.

I loved the old ones, and I love the new ones, if it says made in the USA on it, then it?s for me, the re-release of the Challenger for 2007 is a great idea, and I thought that it was the be all and end all, ?BUT THEN??Chevrolet went and done it, first when they released the 2006 ZO6 Corvette, I just knew that I had to have one.

Then they re-released my favorite car of all times, the Camaro, and I thought that I was seeing things, you know, like when people claim to see Elvis, but my eyes didn?t fail me, the Camaro is going to return in 2009, and it will be nothing short of awesome.

With it?s pulled forward ?A Pillar??and it?s swept back ?B Pillar?? the car seems to have a very low slung and sporty looking stance, while at the same time, it retains it?s muscle car feel with the wide and short rear deck, and the interior is befit a king, it retains just enough of the 1969 Camaro body lines to be retro enough for the biggest, old Camaro freak, while using just enough of the new technology to keep things interesting.

The 2009 Camaro borrows its drive train from the Corvette, a 400 HP LS2 small block Chevy, that?s 400 HP at the rear wheels, not at the flywheel, it?s nothing to laugh at, the car will be enough for a serious performance freak, while being manageable enough to drive every day, and getting up to 30 MPG on the freeway, by use of GM?s cylinder dropping technology, which will turn off the cylinders that you don?t need while your just cruising down the freeway.

When I heard that Chevrolet was re-releasing the Camaro, I cried tears of joy, I could not believe that it was actually going to happen, but it?s such a good thing, the whole idea, the whole way that Chevrolet conceived and built the concept for it, was pure genius and nothing short of modern art.

Touchdown Football Party

Football is the all American sport. We watch it on Saturdays for college, pros all day on Sunday and Monday night and we spend Thursdays and Fridays covering school football events! Incorporate football into a celebration for a birthday, homecoming or special event.

Send out invitations shaped like footballs. The party planning store will have those and other football motifs to choose from. Make your guests wear football jerseys of their favorite team ??whether it is pro, college or whatever. Face paint and other fanatical displays are optional.

You can have the first game be who comes dressed with the most spirit. Come up with a prize for the person who has the most face paint on or the most original show of spirit. They are wearing a cheese head? Give them a gift certificate to a pizza shop. They are wearing a dress and heels and rooting for a pig team? Send them to a BBQ place. Have fun and be creative with the prizes.

Football parties need food, especially if the TV will be on all day. Make the menu finger food that is easy to snack on all day without being refrigerated. Have guests bring their favorite bag of chips to share and you provide the dips. The football party can also include alcohol, but use with only age appropriate adults.

Decorations can be minimal, since the focus will be on the game. Some wall hangings of your favorite teams or banners can add to the fun of the event. Mini-footballs to throw around at halftime can be fun too. All the paper products and favors can be found with the assistance of a party planner at a party supply store. They will be more than happy to assist you with all of your party needs!

We all look for someone who likes to do some of the things we like to do. It doesn?t have to be everything, but if each party has enough in common that they can enjoy together, their bond will deepen. They may like hiking, camping, travel, dancing, or cheering for the same football team.

Values

A relationship cannot last if both people don?t share the same values. If one person feels they must deny any of their core values for the relationship to survive, resentment will erode whatever foundation the relationship was built on.

Attitude

Many people bond around a shared perspective on the world. The most resilient bonds are those that are able to view life together with humor. Any problems that come their way are approached with wit, grace, and the ability to see the ridiculous, without wailing about life?s injustices.

Spirituality

Finding a common spiritual ground is a strong bond between people. They will approach life in a similar manner and make decisions each understands, such as how to celebrate the holidays, raise the children, and interact and treat each other consistent with their beliefs.

Creativity

Creative people are able to flex, adapt, and make the changes necessary to move forward. If they have a job or career that becomes obsolete, they go back to school or start a business in a field that is current. If both people in a relationship know how to access their creativity, they will work well together, solving life?s problems in a fluid manner.

The challenge for couples is to get beyond the chemistry before the relationship becomes committed and they discover they don?t know each other.

They can be put on garage roofs, against walls, or even off of the side of your home if you so desire. These permanent basketball hoops are commonly found above garage doors for great driveway play. The installation on them is a bit easier than in-ground, but offers you the challenge of having to get on top of your garage or a ladder.

No matter which system of mounting your basketball goal you use, just make sure it is the best one for you. Find the right one and you will be giving you and your family a chance to play a great sport right outside your front door.
